After a year without fairs, Malgrat de Mar traveled to Bilbao last October to be present at a new edition of the Expovacaciones fair.
Ester Gil, a tourism technician, and Ludwig Hasko, 4th Deputy Mayor and Councilor for Economic Promotion, were in charge of promoting our town at this tourism fair with a counter inside the stand of Diputació de Barcelona.
The Expovacaciones fair, located in the Baracaldo fairgrounds, year after year, receives a large influx of people interested in finding new offers for their holidays. That is why our two representatives showed Malgrat de Mar’s offer to everyone who approached the stand. Malgrat de Mar is much more than 4 kilometers of wide and paradisiacal beaches because it is also “culture” and “nature”.
The celebration of Expovacaciones during the past month of October was an important step in the phase of the recovery of the tourist sector.
The doors of Hall 1 were closed after receiving the visit of 27,681 attendees who didn’t want to miss the wide range of travel and new activities offered by the event to prepare for future getaways or trips.
The exhibition section consisted of 163 participating firms representing Aragon, Asturias Natural Paradise, Valencia, Bilbao-Biscay, Basque Country, Costa Calida-Region of Murcia, Andalusia, Barcelona, Costa Brava, Balearic Islands, Galicia, as well as Portugal and Morocco, among others.
The event was also attended by different travel agencies.
