Malgrat de Mar, characterized by its tranquillity and extensive beaches also has some natural spaces of considerable environmental value, that permit you to walk, enjoing a only panorama and unforgetable.

The Delta of the Tordera River. In the summer it has not much water, but in case you can see it with some water you will see an authentic sight.

The Pla de Grau. It is a protected agricultural area where the farmers cultivate specially vegetables (lettuces, tomatoes, potatoes…) The leader of all the autochthonous products is a bean called “Fesol del Ganxet” (Hook bean), which is a big quality legume from the area and that recently had the protected Guarantee of Origin.

The dunes zone of "La Conca" Beach . The Town Hall of Malgrat de Mar has signed an agreement with “Fundació Territori” and “Caixa Catalunya” to preserve the vegetation of the dunes in the beach between the old village and “La Tordera” area. There are already some preserved areas like this part of the beach so that people won’t be able to crush them and, as a result, to make possible to repair the morphology and vegetation.
